The number of points of the base star determines multiple factors of the column, including the number of points at the top and bottom of each stretch, and the overall width and height of the column. This ratio between column points and resulting column parameters lends itself to Rhino Grasshopper. I wrote the algorithm to link all the parameters of the column to the number of points at the base
